We Love: Victorious Festival
A massive thank you to our friends at Victorious Festival for inviting the Mi-Pac team to come and play in the seaside sunshine this August Bank Holiday. We loved it!
The festival itself was truly Victorious! Even with the festival changing hands and a fresh approach to the acts, it massively succeeded in providing a fun warm family atmosphere with some very memorable moments.
We will never forget Pete Doherty refusing to leave the stage and having to be forcibly removed by security to the soundtrack of a world class Pompey Chant.
Musically, highlights include The Slaves / Franz Ferdinand combo. A great pairing of hard and soft rock for the masses! Slaves attitude punk tinged outlook being especially fitting for the Portsmouth Crowd' ( "Cheer Up London / Play Up Pompey"). This was then followed by an exceptionally crowd pleasing set from Franz Ferdinand - Jeez we've missed those guys!
The main grounds for the festival were similar to last year but with an extended real ale bar and its very own outside stage hosting the best of tribute and unsigned acts to comfort the long queue for a (very decent) beer. A massive shout out to Kate Bushka for singing the time away for us to get a "Dont kick the moo moo Cow" (Delicious!!!).
Thanks again team. Fun time all round!!!! Can't wait until 2018.
